Thankful Hearts

Its that time again to stop and remember to count those hundreds of blessings that we may forget to acknowledge day in and day out.  I heard a talk on Sunday that reminded me which of the 10 in a story I always want to be like.  I am a grateful child of a wonderful Heavenly Father who loves me and blesses me beyond measure.

We can read in Luke for further instruction....

11 ¶And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were alepers, which stood afar off:
13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the apriests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him athanks: and he was a Samaritan.
17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten acleansed? but where are the bnine?
18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. kearts.

A Message From My Heart To Gods Ear

Which Balloon Is Your's  ?

Who has been on mind these days .....Many of you.
Those people that I love and care for with all my heart.  Those many people who have lifted me up
during my times of trials and sorrow.  I watch as each of us take a turn at suffering and struggling to overcome the daunting tasks that we are each called upon to bare.  It's not just one or two of us but it is all of us.  Its is never the same but it is sorrow, suffering, grief, loss and fear.  It is the health scares unanswered, it is the losses we must carry, its is the fear of what the future holds.  My heart aches for you all and yet often all I can do is pray for you.
I am  grateful this day for the deep abiding foundation that our Savior offers us.

It is a rock and we must continue to build upon it.
In Nursery  we sing the
The Wise man build his house upon the rock, and the rains came tumbling down.
The rains came down and the house on the rock stood firm.

Build that foundation strong for life will change us and shake and leave us
different, but different is the way we learn to nurture others, to feel their deep
suffering, to be able to reach out to others who suffer and offer comfort and support.  It is then that we understand a degree of the great suffering the Savior felt for each of his children.  My heartfelt prayers for comfort and peace are for each of you and for my loved ones as they walk the path the Savior walked ahead of us.

One of the most beautiful moments on my trip to Israel was
sitting where the Savior delivered the sermon on the mount.
There are many scriptures that can bring us comfort             but I love the
beatitudes and the promise that they bring.
The Savior's promises are true and we can hold to them .
We love each of you and keep you close in heart and prayer.

Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness
for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you
