Twas The Night Before, The Night Before, Christmas

Yummy food, great family and lots of laughs, made for a happy holiday party for our family. The Sanders graciously hosted our annual family party and with a little help from everyone it was a great success. Gondola pizza, pastrami salad, Cammy's miniture holiday cupcakes, and Candices sinfully delicious chocolate bunt cake made by our very special elf Courtney Henao. As always the house was warm and decorate in fstival colors and sparkling lights. Throw in a few Christmas presents, some faily entertainment and the 2009 Chirstmas was a memorable one. We were missing our sweet Elisaldez family but knew that they were carrying on and building new traditions mixed with some old.

Croc and Rock WIth Miss Cammy

The 1st recital of Miss Cammy's Croc and Rock Dance School took place December 1, 2009.
A huge success for Cammy and Abel who work together to run this business out of their garage. Katie and her cute family were down that weekend and joined us as Cammy's stars made there 1st appearence. I have to say this as a Grandma and Grandpa we thought that Avennly was the best dancer in the class. We are so proud of Cammy and her hard work !!

Missing A Tradition

For years and years as long as I can remember there were rolls of paper lining a wall the month of Novemeber. The way is was done changed over time but the idea was that we wrote, drew or cut out pictures of things we were thankful for. I loved seeing what each person was thankful for and especially what the childre tthought.
So do me a favor make this my Thanksgiving Gift..Write what your thankful for on our blog so I can treasure those memories and continue to count each of my blessings, especially each one of you.

Happy Birthday Dancing Grandma

Dear Dancing Grandma,

Happy Birthday to you. I hope that in Heaven they are planning a party with music, dancing, singing an a drumstick for you. I can't celebrate Halloween and not think of you. Halloween and your Birthday always came in two's. They ushered in the Holiday Season . You were always the beginning of this wonderful season approaching of joy, gratitude and celebration of the Saviors Birthday. How brave, strong and joyful you were. When words wouldn't come your eyes told the story. Every party , house filled to the brim with family, kids and babies....some would have hated that but not you. Dancing Grandma you always loved a good party with yummy food, happy tunes and most of all the children. You really were such an example of Christ like attributes.

I miss you so much and at times I ache for you , to hold your hand one more time, to help you stand one more time to have you follow me around and be my shadow. I know in my heart that you are at Heavenly Fathers side with Grandpa and your family. You are preparing our home for each arrival just as you did when we were each born.

Our Father in Heaven loves us and always places people in our lives to love us, care for us and help us to bare our trials. I am happy to know exactly where you are and that you can now remember those things about yourself and your family that brings you joy .

I am grateful to know who I am, where I come from and where my final destination is. This knowledge is all the sweeter knowing you are there waiting and cheering us on.

Happy Birthday Dancing Grandma !

Mark's 1st Birthday

Yes, Mark is really having a 1st Birthday as a whole new man. Father to 7, grandfather to almost 15 and 1/2. Uncle to countless nieces and nephews, and has gained new parents in laws, not mention the famous new brothers and sisters comic relief club.

With everything going in our life and as busy as it gets I hope Mark knows how much happiness and rejoicing has gone on in heaven and earth to have him be the head of our family.

What a wonderful joy Mark is to all that know him and I know Hicks, Evelyn and all those brothers and sisters were happy to welcome this baby to their family.

Happy Birthday Mark, thank you for all the many many things you do for each and everyone in our family.
