Super Sunday

Some people are waiting for the Super Bowl next Sunday
but I think my Super Sunday was our Ward Conference this past week.
I really enjoyed our meetings.  There is a certain teaching style that our Stake President Wilson has that
I just love.  He really encourages cross communication with everyone in Sunday School and Relief Society.
His main topic was 2nd Nephi 31-
He really highlighted the following
1. Faith In Jesus Christ And His Atonement
2, Repentance
3, Baptism
4. Receive The Holy Ghost
5. Endure To The End
One of the key points he talked about was the plain and simple truths.
I also liked that he talked about the Light of Christ can be in anything and how much of that light that
we absorb and let is is up to us.
Do the activities we chose attract light.

Wherefore, ye must press forward with a asteadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of bhope, and a clove of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and dendure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eeternal life.

In Relief Society he also talked about the word Hope...How we all need hope.
He actually Said Hope Is Cope
C-Confidence
O-Optimism
P-Patience and Perseverance
E-Enthusiasm

We must have complete trust to realize that the promises Heavenly Father has made to us will be realized if we have Hope and then apply Cope.

Living The Abundant Life

A great Friday night.  Catte and her family were down visiting from Utah and we were lucky to have an afternoon with her sweet family.  Oh my goodness we just met her new baby, Louisa.  She is a real sweetie and completely enjoyed Annabelle, Paul, and Adelaide. ( I am sure I spelled that wrong )Leslie came with Annie and Erin.  We had Courtney, Kenna, Noah and Kenzie.  Cammy, Avennly and Cambel.  Roy with his five young ones.  Actually Roy's family is really getting old. The girls look like young ladies and the boys are so tall.  We also had Liz Dwelley , Charlotte and Wyatt.  We love Liz and her family.  They fit right in with our group and always make everything event better with their sweet spirits and kindness.  Grandpa Mark has put a beautiful home and back yard together for us to share.  Our pool is so much fun and we haven't even hit summer.  I can't wait to picnic on the grass.  Everyone bought all kinds of delicious goodies.  It always brings great memories of Mom and Dad's house on Gottes Lane as the kids enjoyed Popsicles in the pool, even in January.  We had some arts and crafts going on and Dance Party and dress up in th eplay room. The Italian in all us allows us to enjoy several conversations at once and a noise level that seldom is turned down till the last guest has left and the silence returns, but honestly a serence peaceful quiet reflecting on how lucky we are to hear the sounds of life, to see the joys of happiness and taste the blessing of abundance,  This month's home teaching lesson is called  Living The Abundant life.  We certainly do.  We share all that we have on so many levels.  Lots of  love today being spread around.  We are so blessed with so many things to be grateful for.  Yes we face challenges, yes life brings some unexpected challenges and some we would love just say no thanks, pass the plate but its moments like today that you hold on to and enjoy.  I love my family and friends so much .  I am lucky to have a husband who is gracious and willing to entertain our large growing family.  Thanks to Mom and Dad for teaching us about love. loyalty and the most important things in life.
PS ...Catch the picture of Mark...35 pounds lighter and enjoying his Green Veggies.
Way to go Mark !!  Looking Fine !

Buzzing Around With The Henao's

This is a backwards post.  Today was visit with the Henao Day.  We ended the evening at Coldstones and despite a long busy day the ice cream seemed to perk everyone up.
We cheered McKenna on at her school Soccer game.  She plays for Rancho Starbuck and is one of their best players.  We enjoyed a beautiful day outside and Kenzie and Noah explored and soaked up the sun.  We then grabbed a quick dinner at Pizza Hut in Target, spent a little Christmas money and then hit the road back to McKenna's School.  McKenna is in Drama and performed in a skit.  She actually played the roll of Lucy with Linus.  She did a great job a real flare for drama.  Another Drama Llama in our family.  What a Shock.  It was nice to see how well she has adjusted to her new school.  She had lots of friends cheering for her and she earned it all she did great.  Noah and Kenzie are the best sports around cheering their sister on all day.  Its always my lucky day when I get to spend anytime with those I love.

2012 Church Studies Book Of Mormon

This year we get to study the Book of Mormon.  I am very excited to focus on this inspired book.
The first few lessons are all about Lehi's dream /vision of the Tree of Life.  It has been very interesting studying further about this story that I have heard many times.  It also seems interesting to e that so many movies and much of history have been depicting a tree of life. In Jewish Culture the Tree of Life Is Strong.
But I want to stress the importance of holding to the rod. It is the word of God and it will lead us home.  We must hold on tightly with both hands because the winds will blow and we will be buffeted with Satan's darts.

So To My Family Hold Tight-Don't Let Go !
The Fruit of The Tree is Pure, and Everlasting It Is The Blessings Of The Atonement.
